Bob and Joanne
Howdy! We’re Bob and Joanne Segurson from Round Rock, Texas, and we’re glad to meet you. Times Prince is Bob’s moniker on Cruise Critic (Joanne doesn’t post there). Our coming cruise will be our eleventh cruise in the past 10 years, and as you can see from our cruise history we love Princess! We’ve only tried one other line and it was our “Cruise From HAL” (a story worth telling over a drink sometime). We came back to Princess and have been happy since. I guess you can say we’re addicted to cruising.
Bob is a development engineer at Dell, and Joanne is retired after a career in mental health. We’re both active in church work, especially the choir. We’ve been married 37 years. We started cruising while Joanne was working because that was the only way to get away from 24x7 pagers and crisis phone calls.
On board, we’re into dancing and often become known all around the ship as “that couple who has fun dancing together” as we believe an empty dance floor with a live band playing before the Vista Lounge show is a sin! So we have fun! (I didn’t say I can dance well) You’ll also find us around the art auctions, critiquing the pictures and checking the latest prices. Times Prince, Bob’s handle, comes from the title of a picture bought on a Princess Cruise. Note, however, that if Bob ever raises his hand at the auction again, his guitar playing days are over because it is really hard to play with only one hand! We’re also into “power napping” and enjoy cuddling and being rocked like a baby by the waves.
Ashore, we like to mix our excursions up a little, and prefer half day excursions so we can take it easy. We really enjoy snorkeling, so snorkeling is always part of our Caribbean adventure. Bob is not that great of a swimmer so some of our experiences really have been adventures (more stories over drinks here). Most of our excursions have been through Princess in the past but recently we’re branching out on our own and really enjoying it.
We’re looking forward to our cruise together and meeting new friends.
